Hotel Alfa, Birsfelden

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was great with easy access to public transport, but the small rooms facing the street and lack of a thermostat made it less comfortable. The service was outstanding, especially from the reception desk trainee who went above and beyond to provide information. The dining experience was enjoyable with a decent selection. Overall, a decent value for the price.

The hotel felt more like a train station hotel, but it was a really nice and peaceful place to rest up and work on my laptop, especially being on the garden side. It's conveniently near the tram and bus stop. The only drawback is that the rooms aren't very spacious.

Staying in the family room, we experienced the pros of a huge space but noticed the downside of a tiny room. The cleanliness was top-notch for an old room but felt somewhat small.
